Autonomy & ML

Autonomy Engineer

Own the perception and planning stack that lets our vehicle read the city and drive itself.

London / Hybrid Full-time

About the role

We're teaching a new kind of vehicle to move through the busiest parts of a city. As an autonomy engineer, you'll shape a camera-first perception and planning stack from the ground up, turning millions of real-world miles into a system that keeps getting better.

What you'll do

  • Design, train and evaluate perception and planning models for a camera-first stack.
  • Build the data pipeline that turns every supervised mile into better driving.
  • Take models from notebook to vehicle, optimised to run on the edge.
  • Close the loop between what happens on the road and what ships next.

What we're looking for

  • Strong machine learning and computer vision foundations, with production experience shipping models that run in the real world.
  • Comfort across the stack: data, training, evaluation, and on-device inference.
  • A bias for getting something real on the road, then making it better.

Nice to have

  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other safety-critical systems.
  • Edge inference, quantisation, or model-efficiency work.
