Safety & Compliance Engineer

About the role

Operating a new kind of vehicle in public means earning trust through a rigorous safety case and a clear regulatory path. You'll own both, working with the relevant bodies and helping shape how goods-carrying autonomy gets approved.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the safety case as the vehicle and its capabilities evolve.
• Own the regulatory pathway and the relationships that go with it.
• Turn standards and requirements into engineering practice the team can follow.
• Keep safety a first-class input to every product decision.

What we're looking for

• Experience with functional safety and/or regulatory approval in a safety-critical domain.
• The ability to translate dense standards into practical, shippable requirements.
• Rigour, clarity, and the judgement to know what matters most.

Nice to have

• An automotive, rail, aviation, or medical-device safety background.
• Familiarity with UK and EU vehicle and automated-vehicle frameworks.
